Analysis of Traffic Management Center (TMC) Staff and Staffing Contracts
The purpose of this project is to develop a technical report which builds on existing resources and current practices of agencies that considers:
- TMC staffing knowledge, skill, and ability (KSA) requirements for function of TMC functions and automation levels, including considerations of technology and systems.
- Relationships among TMC staffing classifications, KSA requirements and wages, including a comparison of trends related to staffing classifications, skill sets and wages over past decade by region (e.g. East, Midwest).
- Contributing factors for staff turnover and performance issues.
- Training options for staffing classifications, knowledge and skill requirements.
- A comparison of TMC staffing classifications, KSA requirements and wages between state employees and contracted staff.
