Traffic Management Center (TMC) Performance Dashboards
Performance dashboards for traffic management systems provide an easy-to-understand user interface to enable the public to pull and depict real-time and historical roadway network performance information in a wide variety of displays. They are tools for conveying traffic operations and roadway performance to the public, media, transportation professionals and decision makers. This project synthesized current practices and identified issues for agencies to consider when developing and using performance dashboards for (including TMC operations, service patrols, traffic incident management, etc.) communicating travel conditions to the public, media, and others.
