Planning to Frame TMS' Strategic Direction and Future Investments

Agencies that operate and maintain TMSs are looking for resources to support initiating efforts to develop a strategic direction and multi-year plan to meet the current and devolving future needs of the agency and system. Agencies look for information to assist with initiating, coordinating, collaborating, and developing multi-year strategic plans to guide the future direction, planning, investments, and allocation of resources for TMC operations. This project will compile information and identify successful practices with how agencies prepare, coordinate, and collaborate on developing multi-year strategic plans to guide the future direction, planning, investments, and allocation of resources for TMSs. This project will identify the issues to consider, evolving trends, optional methods, analyses to conduct, sources of information to include in planning efforts, and other planning efforts that may use information generated from these studies (e.g., agency strategic plans, TSMO Plans, allocation of budgets and resources).
