Classifying, Measuring, Collecting, and Using Information on the Conditions of TMS Assets
Managing TMSs and all of its assets requires agencies to have information on their conditions as they make decisions to maintain, repair, or replace the entire system, modify or replace components, technologies, and/or some or all of their field devices. Agencies are often faced with the challenge of determining and executing the appropriate approach for classifying, collecting, measuring, and making decisions (e.g., maintain, repair, or replace) TMS assets while having limited information on their condition or remaining useful life. This project will synthesize current practices and develop resources to support agencies in classifying, measuring, and managing the use of information on the condition of their TMS assets.
